Deep Roots Therapy

Integrative Psychotherapy in South East London & Online

About Me and My Process

My approach is grounded in years of exploring recovery, creative expression, spirituality, sensory and somatic processes, mindfulness, meditation, and alternative healing methods. I utilise a client-centred and trauma-informed framework supported by training in art psychotherapy, somatic approaches, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), group therapy, recovery and solution-focused strategies.

I also recognise and incorporate the spiritual dimension of human existence into my practice. This involves exploring questions of meaning, purpose, and interconnectedness, allowing clients to integrate their spiritual beliefs into their healing journey.

I maintain an ongoing art practice that informs my therapeutic work and community engagement. This practice has enabled me to lead social action art groups in various community settings, including those involving refugees, culturally displaced individuals, and socially excluded populations. These groups provide a platform for participants to explore their experiences, process emotions, and articulate their voices creatively. This integration of art and therapy not only enhances my clinical approach but also fosters a supportive environment for individuals to navigate their challenges through artistic expression.

Throughout my life, I have immersed myself in diverse communities, participating in daily tasks and contributing to the shared upkeep of communal living. These experiences fostered a strong sense of belonging and responsibility. However, the core of my journey has centred on spiritual formation and meditation, leading me to dedicate to calming the mind, practicing self-regulation, emotional processing, and cultivating inner peace. This hands-on experience deepened my understanding of trauma processing and managing nervous system activation.

My extensive travels and varied life experiences enable me to connect and communicate effectively with clients from all walks of life. Working in different countries has enriched my perspective, allowing me to appreciate the unique challenges faced by individuals across cultures.

Ultimately, what I offer is a unique blend of therapeutic insight, personal experience, and a deep understanding of the human spirit’s resilience. I am dedicated to creating a safe, compassionate space where clients can embark on their healing journey, exploring their full potential and discovering the tools necessary for lasting change. Together, we’ll navigate the complexities of your experiences, fostering growth and empowerment along the way.
